25 de Mayo hosts Newcom League and memorial race

The town of 25 de Mayo, La Pampa, hosted a round of the La Pampa Social Newcom League alongside the second edition of a pedestrian race held in honor of Carlos Saso. The sporting events featured regional teams and were attended by Ceferino Almudévar, the Subsecretary of Sports for the Ministry of Social Development and Human Rights.

The Newcom competition included 25 matches across two age categories: over 50 and over 60 years. In the over-60 category, teams from 25 de Mayo and Unión del Colorado competed, while the over-50 category featured various regional municipalities and clubs.

In the 10-kilometer pedestrian race, Saúl David Vega secured the general classification victory with a time of 38 minutes and 56 seconds. In the women's category, local athlete Yolanda del Sastre won with a time of 58 minutes and 13 seconds.
