28th Dr. Ante Peterlić Media Culture School concludes in Osijek
The 28th Dr. Ante Peterlić Media Culture School concluded with a ceremony at the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek. Following five days of intensive work, participants from across Croatia presented short films produced during the program.
The school featured three main workshops: documentary filmmaking, autobiographical filmmaking, and screenwriting. Participants combined theoretical learning with practical application, resulting in the creation of several short films. Notable works include ‘Pija’, a documentary led by Karl Voriha that explores the atmosphere and stories of vendors at the Osijek main market, and four autobiographical films produced under the guidance of Tomislav Šoban.
This year’s three editions of the school brought together nearly 160 participants and produced 20 works across various genres. The program involved collaborations with several institutions, including the Academy of Arts and Culture in Osijek, Kinoklub Karlovac, and the Pula Film Factory. All films produced during the sessions in Karlovac, Osijek, and Pula are available online.
