2TDK appoints Marko Pogačnik as new general director

The supervisory board of 2TDK, the company overseeing the Divača-Koper second track infrastructure project, has dismissed the existing management and appointed new leadership. Marko Pogačnik has been named the new general director, succeeding Matej Oset. While Pogačnik takes the top role, Oset will remain within the company's management as a director. Marko Brezigar has been dismissed from his position as director.

Marko Pogačnik, who begins his role this Tuesday, is a former SDS member of parliament, former state secretary at the Ministry of Finance, and current chairman of the supervisory board of Telekom Slovenije. The supervisory board also appointed Aleksandar Srdić as the company's proxy.

The 2TDK project, established by the Slovenian government in 2016, involves the construction and management of the second railway track. The project has an investment value of approximately 1.1 billion euros, with current realization reaching 988.65 million euros. Major construction works are expected to conclude by the end of this year, with testing and procedures for obtaining operating permits anticipated by the end of the first quarter of next year.
