314 Arts reports publisher Maximum Entertainment bankruptcy

The developer of the four-player cooperative WWII zombie shooter, Projekt Z: Beyond Order, has released an update regarding the game's uncertain future. Justin Miersch, co-founder of 314 Arts, revealed via YouTube that the game's publisher, Maximum Entertainment, has filed for bankruptcy.

Due to a previous decision to transfer rights to ensure the team's survival, 314 Arts does not currently hold the rights to Projekt Z: Beyond Order. Miersch noted that this led to a loss of creative control, distancing the project from the community-driven vision originally intended.

While the studio is making every effort to reclaim the rights to the title, they have acknowledged the extreme difficulty of the situation. Consequently, 314 Arts has begun development on a new game project. The studio reported positive results from internal playtests of their new work and plans to release a trailer soon.
