33 Children Rescued on Turkey’s Inkumu Beach Reunited with Families

Lifeguard teams from the Bartın Municipality’s Fire Department located and recovered 33 children who had gone missing on Inkumu beach after the start of the summer season on June 1. The children were quickly returned to their parents or handed over to police without injury.

Mayor Muhammet Rıza Yalçınkaya praised the crews for their swift and careful response, emphasized the importance of child safety at the popular tourist spot, and urged visitors to keep close watch on children on the shoreline. The municipality confirmed that lifeguard services will continue uninterrupted throughout the season.
