35th Arts Valley Festival Celebrates Culture in Kapolcs, Hungary

The 35th edition of the Arts Valley (Művészetek Völgye) festival runs from 24 July to 2 August 2026 across the Kapolcs‑Taliándörögd‑Vigántpetend triangle. Highlights include a live recording of the THISISUS podcast with hosts Eke Angéla and Borbély Alexandra on 29 July, and a José González concert on 25 July featuring material from his new album *Against The Dying Of The Light*.

The anniversary program features a double‑celebration concert with folk groups such as Szalonna and Bandája, a symphonic reinterpretation by Danubia Orchestra, and performances by leading Hungarian pop and rock artists including Sena, Beck Zoli, and Co Lee. Special installations mark the festival’s 35‑year history, and a newly named Gástya‑Árok (formerly the trench) will host the Bánkitó. Diverse cultural talks and music retrospectives round out the ten‑day event.

Organisers describe the festival as a “cultural melting pot” that honors both contemporary and traditional Hungarian arts while engaging local residents and visitors.
