3Bee and XNatura launch digital tools to protect natural areas

Nature tech company 3Bee and its technological division XNatura have launched two new online tools designed to monitor and protect natural areas in Europe from environmental threats and wildfires.

XN Atlas serves as a free digital health record for protected parks within the Natura 2000 network. It provides land managers, such as municipalities and park authorities, with a comprehensive overview of biodiversity health and anthropogenic pressures, including climate change, infrastructure, and agriculture. The platform also analyzes the spread of invasive floral species, conducts avian censuses, provides microclimatic projections for 2050, and assesses flood and fire risks.

FireSight is a predictive tool intended for use by civil protection agencies and local governments. By selecting a point on a map, users can visualize how fire might propagate over the following 24 hours, accounting for wind, vegetation, and terrain morphology. This allows for better concentration of prevention efforts and emergency rescue services.
