3CX V20 Update 10 enables selectable outbound caller IDs

3CX has released V20 Update 10, introducing a feature that allows users to select their outbound caller ID from assigned Direct Inward Dialing (DID) numbers before making external calls. This update is designed to assist users who represent multiple brands, offices, or services.

Administrators can grant permission for users to choose a specific DID, which automatically routes the call through the associated SIP trunk and presents the selected number as the outbound caller ID. This functionality eliminates the need for separate extensions or additional outbound rules for different identities. For instance, a user managing two regional offices can call clients from the respective local number without changing extensions or using custom prefixes.
