3D printing industry sees breakthroughs in large-scale PEEK and multi-material technology

Recent developments in the Chinese 3D printing sector highlight advancements in both industrial-grade Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) and consumer-level additive manufacturing.

Yingpu 3D has achieved a breakthrough in meter-scale PEEK material printing with its X1100HT high-temperature SLS equipment. This large-format machine, capable of a 1100×1100×400mm build volume, has secured contracts with Nanjing University of Science and Technology and the China Academy of Aeronautical Manufacturing Technology. The technology allows for the production of complex, heat-resistant components for aerospace and high-end research, reducing reliance on imported equipment. Additionally, the company released the CF250+PPS250, a compact professional SLS system designed for easier deployment in laboratories and small workshops.

At the Formnext Asia Shenzhen exhibition, Creality showcased a diverse range of new products, headlined by the K3 3D printer. The K3 utilizes KliTek™ multi-nozzle technology to enable multi-color and multi-material printing with significantly higher efficiency and reduced material waste compared to traditional methods. Other featured products include the Ender-3 V3 Mega for large-scale printing, the HALOT-X1 Max for high-resolution resin printing, and the PioNext Mini, a compact device optimized for rapid dental crown production.
