3sat magazine Kulturzeit returns after summer break
The cultural magazine Kulturzeit is returning to the 3sat television channel on August 17 following a six-week summer hiatus. The program, which is a joint production of ZDF, ORF, SRF, and ARD, will resume its weekday broadcast schedule from 7:20 PM.
The season's opening episodes will focus on the Salzburg Festival and the Locarno Film Festival. Featured content includes Richard Strauss’ opera ‘Ariadne auf Naxos’ directed by Ersan Mondtag and the work ‘Unter Tieren’ by Nobel laureate Elfriede Jelinek.
Additionally, the program will feature an interview with Karin Bergmann, the interim leader of the Salzburg Festival, regarding the current situation and renovation needs of the festival house following the departure of long-time director Markus Hinterhäuser. There are 85 episodes scheduled to air through the end of the year.
