Ciudad Juárez child death in car leads to release of mother and grandfather

A four‑year‑old boy, Sebastián, was found unconscious inside a parked vehicle in the Kilómetro 29 area of Ciudad Juárez after being trapped for several hours. A forensic examination determined the cause of death as heatstroke and asphyxiation. The child's mother, Norma S., and his grandfather, Aarón S. R., were initially detained on charges of desobedience and resistance while authorities investigated the incident. After completing the investigation, the Fiscalía General del Estado concluded that no criminal act could be attributed to them and that the child's death was accidental. Consequently, both the mother and grandfather were released and cleared of any criminal responsibility.
