Sibiu police open investigation after 41‑year‑old man found dead in parked car

On 2 August, a 41‑year‑old man from Constanța County was discovered dead inside a vehicle parked on Bulevardul Victoriei near the Olimpia pool in Sibiu. A 24‑year‑old passer‑by noticed the lack of signs of life, called emergency number 112 and police arrived promptly. Officers confirmed the death, identified the victim and noted that the car had been stationary for roughly three days.

The victim’s sister had reported his disappearance the previous day, contacting the Sibiu County Police Inspectorate (IPJ Sibiu) after learning he might be in the area. An investigation for negligent homicide has been opened, with detectives continuing to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
