42 Portugal launches entrepreneurship program for students

42 Portugal has launched the ‘Infinite Improbability Engine’, an entrepreneurship program designed to help students transform initial ideas into functional products tested by potential customers. The nine-week initiative involves 24 students from 42 Lisboa and 42 Porto working in small teams through six development sprints.

The program aims to introduce product development methodologies and entrepreneurship to the 42 community, allowing students to address real-world problems. Final projects are scheduled to be presented on September 16 at the Unicorn Factory. The initiative includes mentorship from various firms, including Armilar, Iberis Capital, Índico Capital Partners, Oxy Capital, and Shilling VC.

According to Beatriz Cardoso Fernandes, COO of 42 Portugal, the program also serves as a preliminary test for creating a venture studio to support technological projects emerging from the school’s talent pool.
