42dot expands Pleos Connect App Market with seven new services

42dot, the global software center for Hyundai Motor Group, has expanded its Pleos Connect infotainment system by adding seven new applications to its open App Market. This update brings the total number of supported services to 18.

The expansion focuses on enhancing the continuity of user experience between mobile devices and vehicles. Key additions include popular South Korean services such as the music streaming platform Melon and the navigation service KakaoNavi. These apps are optimized for vehicle displays, allowing drivers to access personalized playlists and navigation interfaces without needing to mirror a smartphone.

Currently, the service is available in Hyundai models including The New Grandeur and The All New Avante, with plans to expand to more vehicle lineups in the future. 42dot is utilizing its Pleos Playground platform to provide third-party developers with vehicle APIs and software development kits (SDKs), aiming to foster an ecosystem for games, vehicle management, and lifestyle services as part of its transition toward software-defined vehicles (SDV).
