42dot recruits tech leaders from NVIDIA and DeepMind for SDV development

42dot, the global software center for Hyundai Motor Group, has recruited three high-profile technical leaders to accelerate its transition toward Software-Defined Vehicles (SDV) and intelligent mobility.

Angelo Corsaro, the creator of the open-source communication protocol ‘Zenoh’, has joined the Silicon Valley office to enhance data connectivity and scalability between vehicles, robots, and the cloud.

Jae-young Gleo will lead the AI Model Group, focusing on ‘audio native AI’ that understands and generates speech directly without text conversion steps. His expertise includes developing speech recognition and synthesis optimized for noisy vehicle environments.

Chao Fang, formerly a senior engineer at NVIDIA, will lead the SV VLA team. Fang will focus on Vision-Language-Action (VLA) research, aiming to integrate visual recognition, linguistic reasoning, and action generation into a single model for practical autonomous driving applications.
