44‑year‑old arrested for illegal possession of hammer and knife in Aci Castello, Italy

Carabinieri in Aci Castello, Catania province, responded to a 112 emergency call from a woman reporting a fight between two men. On the scene the officers found the two men arguing in the street. One of them, a 44‑year‑old resident of Tremestieri Etneo, produced a wooden‑handled hammer and a kitchen knife that were concealed in the belt of his trousers.

Both weapons were seized and the man was charged with illegal possession of weapons. The incident was investigated by the Carabinieri and the suspect was referred to the judicial authority.
