45-Year-Old Man Drowns After Jumping from Water Bike at Slovakia's Kanianka Reservoir

A 45‑year‑old man died on Saturday after leaping from a water bike into the Kanianka reservoir in the Prievidza district of Slovakia. Rescue teams were dispatched immediately and searched the area and the water, but the victim could not be brought to the surface. An on‑scene medical examiner ruled the death accidental and excluded foul play. Police reiterated safety warnings, urging water users to wear life vests, avoid alcohol, not overestimate swimming ability, and exercise caution when using water bikes or other small craft.
