47-year-old dies after electric scooter fall in Lavagna, Italy
A 47-year-old man suffered a serious fall from an electric scooter in the centre of Lavagna, a town in the province of Genoa, during the night between Friday and Saturday. Passersby raised the alarm and emergency services stabilised him before transporting him to the San Martino Hospital in Genoa, where he was admitted to the intensive‑care unit with severe facial trauma.
The victim was wearing a helmet and the scooter was equipped with all required safety features. No other vehicles were involved in the incident. Despite intensive medical efforts, he died 24 hours later in the hospital. Authorities will carry out a full investigation to determine why the fall was so violent.
