49 Winchester to perform exclusive Danish concert at Tønder Festival 2027

The American country band 49 Winchester has been booked to perform their only Danish concert of 2027 at the Tønder Festival. The performance is scheduled for Wednesday, August 25, which marks the opening day of the festival.

Formed by childhood friends Isaac Gibson and Chase Chafin in Castlewood, Virginia, the band is recognized for a sound rooted in the Appalachian storytelling tradition, blending country, rock, and folk. Artistic director Maria Theessink described the booking as a “scoop,” noting the band's impressive growth and strong songwriting that aligns with the festival's tone.

The band's recent album, “Change of Plans,” was produced by Grammy winner Dave Cobb. The group has transitioned from local sessions to international stages, building a significant global following.
