49ers Wide Receiver Ricky Pearsall's Training Raises Injury Concerns

Ricky Pearsall, the San Francisco 49ers' third‑year wide receiver, posted a workout video on Instagram showing him wearing a knee brace on his right knee while training in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The footage has prompted questions about his health ahead of the team's upcoming training camp.

Pearsall missed most of the 2023 season after suffering a torn posterior cruciate ligament (PCL) in the same knee and has previously spoken about needing extended rest for full recovery. He also missed time in his rookie year after being shot in the chest and has dealt with hamstring injuries. In his first 20 NFL games he has recorded 928 receiving yards on 13.9 yards per catch with three touchdowns. The 49ers hope his injuries are resolved as he prepares to compete for the slot receiver role alongside newly acquired veteran Mike Evans.
