Shyne, a former Belizean opposition leader, described his current approach as an “elder statesman” who seeks to extend olive branches and bring people together within hip-hop culture. 50 Cent expressed his approval of the reconciliation on Instagram, stating that Shyne “impresses me” and has “shown nothing but growth.” 50 Cent also mentioned a potential future visit to Belize.
The rivalry between the two New York rappers dates back to 2003, involving lyrical disputes and diss records during a period of intense tension within the hip-hop industry.
