50&Più Olympics held in Rossano Calabro

The 32nd edition of the 50&Più Olympics recently concluded in Rossano Calabro, Cosenza, bringing together nearly one thousand athletes over the age of 50 from across Italy. Promoted by the Associazione 50&Più, the event focuses on celebrating sport, well-being, and social connection through ten different disciplines, including tennis, swimming, cycling, marching, and walking football.

Regional delegations achieved notable success during the competitions. The Pesaro group secured seven medals, including gold in the women's marathon, women's march, and women's archery. The Ravenna delegation earned six medals, highlighted by Maria Rosa Guidi's silver in cycling and bronze in swimming, as well as multiple bronze medals in tennis and swimming.

The event was officially opened by swimming champion Massimiliano Rosolino, who lit the Olympic torch. Organizers emphasized that the games serve the association's mission to demonstrate that it is never too late to engage in physical activity and community building.
