52 SUPER SERIES season finale begins in Valencia

The 2026 52 SUPER SERIES concludes this week in Valencia, Spain, with the Valencia Sailing Week running from Tuesday, October 6, to Saturday, October 10. The final event will determine the overall season champion among a fleet of TP52 class boats.

Platoon Aviation (Germany) currently leads the championship standings with 171 points, holding an 11-point advantage over the second-place Sled (Japan), which has 182 points. While Platoon Aviation recently won the Royal Cup in Puerto Calero, Sled aims to recover from recent technical issues to close the gap.

Alkedo Cetilar holds third place in the standings. The Italian entry, helmed by Andrea Lacorte, is noted for its strong performance by a non-professional skipper. Other teams in contention for the podium include Paprec and Trinity. The competition features 16 teams from 11 nations competing in the varied sailing conditions of Valencia.
