57-year-old becomes mother through assisted reproductive technology in Castellammare, Italy

A 57‑year‑old foreign woman gave birth to a healthy baby at Villa Stabia in Castellammare di Stabia, Italy, after completing a medically assisted reproduction (PMA) program. The treatment was provided by the Omnia Salute – PMA and Regenerative Medicine group, with Dr. Alfonso Maria Irollo overseeing the process alongside doctors Salvatore Ercolano, Gennaro Calabrese and Fulvio Alifano. The embryo was transferred from the group’s Gragnano center at the end of the previous year and implantation was confirmed by laboratory tests before the successful delivery.

Both mother and newborn were reported to be in excellent condition, and the couple expressed great joy. Dr. Irollo remarked, “Each infertility journey is unique and requires a personalized strategy; this birth confirms that integrating assisted reproduction with regenerative medicine can create new opportunities even in complex cases.” The case is highlighted as a significant clinical achievement in reproductive and regenerative medicine.
