58-year-old man found dead in Andria apartment after days of silence

A 58-year-old man, identified as F. M., was discovered deceased in his flat on via Vittoria in the centre of Andria, Italy. Neighbours, unable to contact him for several days, reported a strong foul odor and alerted the police. Police, local authorities and two 118 medical teams from Andria and Barletta entered the apartment, found the door open and the body, and confirmed the death, which appears to have occurred several days earlier.

Initial assessments suggest a possible natural cause or medical emergency, but investigators are also reviewing the man's personal circumstances, including his solitary living situation, divorce and reported issues with dependency, to determine the exact cause. The case remains under police investigation.
