6-Year-Old Boy Missing in Depok’s Ciliwung River

A six‑year‑old boy, identified only as S, was reported missing after slipping into the deeper part of the Ciliwung River in Depok, Indonesia, on Tuesday, 4 August 2026. The incident occurred around 13:30 WIB while the child and two friends were searching for fish and shrimp near the riverbank in RT 7/RW 12, Kelurahan Depok, Pancoran Mas.

Local residents alerted RT leader Helmi, who arrived at the scene with a joint search team. Authorities have been combing the river’s flow in an effort to locate the child. No further details on the boy’s condition have been released.
