60 Minutes viewership rebounds to 10.2 million viewers
The CBS newsmagazine ‘60 Minutes’ saw a significant viewership rebound with its third episode of the fall season, drawing 10.2 million viewers according to Nielsen data. This marks the program’s largest audience since March 2024 and its highest total for the current season.
The ratings boost is attributed in part to an NFL lead-in featuring the Chiefs-Raiders game. The episode, which included reports on AI and the workforce and an interview with Senator Thom Tillis, also performed well in the key 25-54 demographic, recording 2 million viewers.
This growth follows a slower start to the season, where the premiere drew approximately 7.9 million viewers and the second episode drew roughly 6.8 million. The ratings rebound occurs during the first full season under CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss, following the appointment of Nick Bilton as executive producer.
