63-year-old woman rescued alive after disappearance on Rhône near Parves-et-Nattages

On 2 August 2026, a 63‑year‑old woman went missing on the banks of the Rhône River in the commune of Parves‑et‑Nattages, Ain, France. The local fire service deployed 26 firefighters, several boats, a drone and a canine unit to search the river. The woman was located conscious on the right‑hand bank about 100 metres downstream from the search start point. She was examined by emergency personnel and then evacuated to a hospital. The exact circumstances of her disappearance were not disclosed.
