63rd Parachute Brigade wins top honors at Niš special forces competition

The 25th Parachute Multi-Event for special purpose units has concluded at the ‘Narednik-pilot Mihajlo Petrović’ military airfield in Niš, Serbia. Organized by the 63rd Parachute Brigade of the Serbian Armed Forces, the international competition featured nine teams from five countries: Serbia, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Romania, and Spain.

Members of the Serbian 63rd Parachute Brigade secured both first and third place, while the 72nd Special Operations Brigade took second place. The Azerbaijani Armed Forces were honored with a fair-play award.

The two-day event tested endurance, precision, and teamwork through various military disciplines. The first day included helicopter landings, a two-kilometer tactical course, shooting exercises, and casualty evacuation. The second day featured a demanding 30-kilometer course completed in full combat gear, involving ten disciplines such as rope climbing, obstacle navigation, and terrain searching. The competition serves to exchange experience and strengthen cooperation among special forces units ahead of the 63rd Brigade's unit day on October 14.
