64‑year‑old Silleda resident found dead after disappearance

José Ángel Reimondez Vázquez, a 64‑year‑old resident of the municipal nursing home in Silleda, Galicia, was discovered dead on a maize field near the town on Monday morning. He had left the facility on Friday afternoon for an authorized walk and failed to return. Search efforts, involving the Guardia Civil, local civil protection units, police, drones and volunteers, intensified over the weekend before the body was located in a hard‑to‑access area between a tire shop and a service road.
