6K Additive secures US$27.4 million EXIM loan for US expansion

6K Additive has finalized a US$27.4 million secured loan agreement with the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) to expand its manufacturing capacity in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania.

The funding is intended to support the production of critical metal powders, including nickel, titanium, and refractory powders, used in aerospace, defense, space, and energy sectors. The expansion involves the construction of four new buildings and the acquisition of advanced manufacturing equipment at the company’s facility.

Approved under EXIM’s ‘Make More in America Initiative’ and in coordination with the Defense Production Act Title III initiative, the financing aims to strengthen domestic supply chains for advanced materials. The six-year loan facility is available for drawdown through June 30, 2028, and features an initial 12-month interest-only period followed by five years of principal amortization.
