6th Infantry Division honors soldiers killed in Sultan Kudarat shooting

The 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division and Joint Task Force Central held a ceremony on September 25 to honor two soldiers killed in a shooting in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao del Norte, on September 23.

The deceased, identified as Corporal Jobert C. Labuson and Corporal John Mark C. Dumaguing of the 7th Infantry Battalion, received posthumous military honors at the Camp Siongco Mortuary. Brig. Gen. Ricky Bunayog, acting commander of 6ID/JTF Central, led the ceremony and expressed grief over the loss of the two soldiers.

The Armed Forces of the Philippines provided immediate financial assistance to the families of the fallen. Authorities have vowed to pursue justice and hold those responsible for the shooting accountable.
