7-Eleven Australia named presenting partner for NBL Ignite Cup

The National Basketball League (NBL) has announced that 7-Eleven Australia will serve as the presenting partner for the Hungry Jack’s NBL Ignite Cup during the NBL27 season. The mid-season tournament features a record-breaking prize pool of $550,000, an increase from the $400,000 offered in the previous season.

The tournament format includes 20 Wednesday night games where results contribute to the regular season ladder, utilizing a unique quarter-by-quarter scoring system to determine an Ignite Cup ladder. The competition will culminate in a four-team Finals Series held at the AIS Arena in Canberra.

Action begins on Wednesday, September 30, with a double-header featuring the New Zealand Breakers hosting the Cairns Taipans in Auckland, followed by a matchup between Sydney and Brisbane. The New Zealand Breakers enter the tournament as the defending champions.
