74-year-old woman arrested in Milan after 10 kg cocaine seizure

Italian police (Carabinieri) from Trezzano sul Naviglio stopped a vehicle parked in a commercial area of Opera, a suburb of Milan. During a routine check the driver appeared agitated and a strong odor was detected. A search of the car revealed a large shopping bag on the rear seat containing ten black packages wrapped in coffee, which were seized as approximately 10 kg of cocaine.

The driver, a 74‑year‑old Italian woman with previous police records, was detained on charges of possession for trafficking and transferred to the San Vittore prison in Milan awaiting further judicial proceedings.
