831 band celebrates 18th anniversary with Taipei Arena concerts
Taiwanese rock band 831 (八三夭) held a two-day birthday concert titled ‘People Without Wings’ at the Taipei Arena to celebrate their 18th anniversary. The performances featured high-energy elements including parkour, inline skating, and aerial flying devices.
During the second night of the celebration, singer Wei Lei-an (韋禮安) appeared as a surprise guest, performing ‘Girl’ and a duet of the band’s song ‘You Are My Irreplaceable’. The first night featured Taiwanese singer Hsiao Huang-chi (蕭煌奇), who performed a medley of hits with the band.
To mark their 18th year, the band members wore high school uniforms, a theme that resonated with fans. The concerts included a variety of setlists, with the second night featuring songs not performed on the first day, such as ‘Hunger Games’ and ‘Little Liver’.
