84X innovation platform launched in Vietnam

The 84X innovation platform has officially launched at Van Lang University, a collaborative initiative between B71 Vietnam—a global brand under the National University of Singapore (NUS) innovation unit NUSX—and Van Lang University. The platform aims to bridge the gap between the State, academia, and businesses to foster practical innovation and startup development.

The 84X model operates through three primary pillars:

1. 84X Develop: Focuses on human resource development through internships at B71 Vietnam and scholarship opportunities for master's degrees at the National University of Singapore.

2. 84X Connect: Provides a networking space for approximately 170 students and founders, with 100 slots dedicated to Van Lang University students.

3. 84X Accelerate: Connects 10 startups from Vietnam, Singapore, and Japan with enterprises to test solutions over a 12-week period. This program is free of charge and does not require equity transfers.

The name 84X combines Vietnam’s country code (+84) with the letter 'X', symbolizing the synergistic power of connection and acceleration. The initiative aligns with national goals to place businesses at the center of science, technology, and digital transformation.
