90 Decibéis film premieres on TV Globo

The film ‘90 Decibéis’, directed by Fellipe Barbosa and produced by the Núcleo de Filmes of Estúdios Globo, is set to premiere on TV Globo this Monday, September 28, during the ‘Tela Quente’ programming.

Starring Benedita Casé Zerbini in her acting debut, the film follows Ana, a successful lawyer and mother, who discovers she is suffering from a degenerative condition that will lead to profound deafness. The story explores her journey of adaptation to hearing aids and the challenges of navigating a world and a professional market that often presents ableism.

The screenplay was written by Julia Spadaccini, who is also deaf. Spadaccini drew from her own experiences with progressive bilateral hearing loss to inform the character’s emotional and social trajectory.
