99 rolls out 99Compras in São Paulo, investing R$100 million

Brazilian mobility platform 99 announced a R$100 million investment to launch its 99Compras marketplace in São Paulo and more than 20 surrounding municipalities. The service, which began in Goiânia in April, now operates with roughly 3,000 commercial partners—including Americanas, Carrefour, Atacadão, Cencosud, St. Marche, Petz and Ultrafarma—and a network of over 200,000 delivery couriers. 99Compras offers categories such as supermarkets, beverages, pharmacies, beauty products and household items; pharmacy orders account for about 22 % of the platform’s volume in Greater São Paulo, with an average delivery time of 24 minutes.

To attract users, 99 will provide coupons of up to R$99 and free shipping on the first two orders. Delivery partners can earn up to R$20 per run during the launch period. 99 reports more than 60 million active users in Brazil, positioning the marketplace as part of its broader strategy to transform the app into a super‑app that combines transport, food delivery, financial services and now e‑commerce.
