A-2 highway improvement project advances between Igualada and El Bruc

The PSC (Socialist Party of Catalonia) has welcomed a new development regarding the A-2 highway improvement project between Igualada and El Bruc. A new public exhibition of the informative study for this section has been announced, representing an estimated investment of approximately 199 million euros.

The project aims to enhance safety, support regional economic development, and improve interurban and inter-county public transport. While the project has previously undergone public information processes and holds a valid environmental impact statement, the division into different sub-sections allows for differentiated processing. Further steps, including the resolution of allegations and the approval of construction projects, are required before work begins.
