Galicia hosts multiple summer festivals in August 2026
Several towns in Galicia are preparing for a series of summer festivals slated for August 2026. Celanova will celebrate the Festas da Encarnación on August 1‑2, featuring the traditional Processión da Ramallosa that starts at 23:00 on Saturday and continues into the early morning. In Valdoviño, Meirás will hold Meirasland on August 8, extending the program from 13:00 with a partnership with Filispín and a line‑up headlined by DJ‑producer Selecta alongside DJs Rajobos and Nev.
Marín will host the Son de Marín street‑festival on July 31‑August 1, offering concerts, parades and poetry sessions across the town’s plazas, with a tribute to John Balan and a special mention of Isabel Portosany Soto. A Coruña’s Festas Maria Pita will run throughout August, prompting a temporary traffic‑control plan and expanded night‑bus services to handle large crowds. Nearby municipalities Castrillo and Velilla de la Valduerna will celebrate the Fiesta de la Concordia from July 31 to August 2, featuring a classic‑car rally and themed performances. Meanwhile, the city of Ceuta will hold its Feria from August 1‑8, with a week‑long programme of concerts, cultural acts and “quiet‑days” for sensory‑sensitive visitors. In Soutomaior, the Día de María Vinyals on August 14 will combine free art workshops, cheese‑making demonstrations and interactive games to honor the Galician feminist writer.
