A Coruña hosts Carrera de la Mujer with 7,000 participants

More than 7,000 women participated in the Carrera de la Mujer in A Coruña, a 6.3-kilometer event held along the Paseo Marítimo. The race, which promotes healthy habits and gender equality, saw participants of all ages running or walking to advocate for full and effective equality.

Andrea Díaz won the race with a time of 25:05, followed by Noa Mirantes in second place and Nerea Sánchez in third. The event was officially started by Mayor Inés Rey, who emphasized the city's commitment to advancing alongside its women. Since its inception in 2004, the race has focused on fostering sports participation and solidarity among women.
