A Coruña-Milan air route reaches record passenger numbers

The air route connecting A Coruña with Milan achieved a record number of passengers in September, with 3,040 travelers using the connection. This represents an average occupancy rate of 92.7% for the Easyjet-operated flights. This figure follows a near-record performance in September 2025, when 3,028 passengers traveled via the link with a 94.8% occupancy rate.

The current contract for this connection is valid until September 2027, with an annual award amount of 331,540 euros including VAT. Flight schedules are set to change at the end of March with the start of the summer airport season. While the route currently operates on Mondays and Fridays, summer schedules in July and August will shift to Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Additionally, Alvedro Airport has seen significant activity, surpassing one million passengers in the first nine months of the year. While direct international connections are currently limited to Geneva and Milan, data shows high demand for connecting routes through hubs like Paris and Amsterdam, as well as destinations such as New York, Buenos Aires, and Istanbul.
