A Guarda celebrates 10 years of the Camiño Portugués da Costa

The Colectivo Amigos do Camiño Portugués da Costa de A Guarda has organized a series of activities to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the official recognition of the Camiño Portugués da Costa. The program, held in collaboration with the A Guarda City Council, aims to highlight the route's history, its evolution, and its impact as a cultural and touristic element over the last decade.

Scheduled events include a guided walk on October 25 led by Antón Ferreira, a key figure in the route's recovery. On November 2, Ermelindo Portela Silva, professor emeritus at the University of Santiago de Compostela, will deliver a lecture titled ‘Tres viaxes a Santiago’, followed by a photographic exhibition. Additionally, a discussion on November 6 will feature Grato Amor Moreno to review the history and future of the pilgrimage path.
