A Guarda hosts FILATEM 2026 philately exhibition

A Guarda is hosting FILATEM 2026, a national thematic philately exhibition organized by the Federación Española de Sociedades Filatélicas (FESOFI) and the Sociedade Filatélica e Numismática Guardesa. The event features 18 adult collections competing in various categories, alongside roundtables and educational activities.

To commemorate the event, Correos has released a special stamp featuring the Praza do Reló of A Guarda. The stamp has a circulation of 65,000 copies and is priced at 2.65 euros. Additionally, the exhibition includes the presentation of a stamp and postmark dedicated to Celso García de la Riega, a figure recognized for his historical research regarding the origins of Christopher Columbus.
