A Guarda PSOE demands opening of former Sinde school block

The Socialist Municipal Group (PSOE) in A Guarda is demanding that the local government, led by Roberto Carrero, open Block 1 of the former Sinde school before the end of October.

Although rehabilitation works were completed in October 2025, the facilities remain closed to local associations nearly a year later. The project, funded in part by the Diputación de Pontevedra, was designed to provide offices, meeting rooms, shared classrooms, and soundproof rehearsal spaces, as well as improved accessibility via a new elevator.

PSOE spokesperson Fátima Rodríguez criticized the delay, stating that the government must provide clear explanations regarding pending actions and stop generating unfulfilled expectations for community organizations.
