Aš initiates bridge reconstruction and dam repairs in Doubravá

The town of Aš has initiated a project in Doubravá to reconstruct a bridge over the Bílý Halštrov and repair a dam. The contract was awarded to KV Realizační Sokolov for 21.5 million CZK, including VAT.

The existing bridge is currently classified as emergency condition, with a load capacity limit that has been steadily decreasing. The project also includes stabilizing the stream bed with stone filling and regulating the flow to improve flood protection in the area.

Construction is expected to be completed by September next year. During the works, the bridge will be closed, necessitating detours for local residents. The local mineral spring will remain accessible throughout the construction period.
