A Nightmare on Elm Street reboots in development at Paramount and Warner Bros

Two separate reboots of the ‘A Nightmare on Elm Street’ franchise are currently in development, with Paramount and Warner Bros. each working on projects utilizing their respective rights to the intellectual property.

Several prominent horror directors have expressed interest in helming the new films. Jane Schoenbrun, known for ‘I Saw the TV Glow’ and ‘Teenage Sex and Death at Camp Miasma’, has stated they are actively seeking a meeting to discuss the project. Other filmmakers interested in the franchise include Lee Cronin, who has been in talks with Warner Bros., as well as Mike Flanagan, Curry Barker, Jeff Wadlow, and Rob Savage.

While specific casting and production timelines remain unconfirmed, the interest from multiple high-profile genre directors suggests a significant push to revitalize the Freddy Krueger series.
