A Nobreza do Amor sees violent showdown and racist attack on Alika

In recent chapters of the Brazilian telenovela *A Nobreza do Amor*, the antagonist Virgínia (Theresa Fonseca) loses control at the São Pedro festival. She assaults Alika (Duda Santos) with a barrage of racist slurs, shouting, “You were born to be a slave.” Alika rebuffs the insults, declares “I was never a slave,” and defends herself physically, causing Virgínia to fall humiliated in the public square. The episode ends with Diógenes (Danton Mello) apologising to Alika and revealing that Virgínia had stolen money from her own father to hire a cangaceiro and destroy her atelier.
