A. P. Møller Capital to acquire majority stake in Euroports Group
A. P. Møller Capital has signed a binding agreement to acquire a 53.35% majority stake in Thaumas N.V., the parent company of Euroports Group. The deal involves purchasing shares from R-Logitech S.A. and Belgian investors SFPIM and PMV. Following the transaction, SFPIM and PMV are expected to retain significant minority interests in the company.
Euroports Group operates a network of more than 50 deep-sea and inland terminals across Europe and China, handling over 70 million tonnes of bulk and breakbulk cargo annually. The acquisition is intended to expand A. P. Møller Capital’s exposure to specialized maritime and port logistics assets. The current management team will remain in place to continue the company’s existing strategic course.
The final purchase price has not been disclosed and will be determined by a variable formula linked to Euroports’ 2026 consolidated EBITDA. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals, including competition and foreign investment clearances, and is expected to close during the first quarter of 2027.
