A Tale of the Secret Saint anime set for October 2026 premiere

The fantasy anime adaptation of ‘A Tale of the Secret Saint’ is scheduled to premiere on Japanese television on October 3, 2026. The release follows a previous delay from April 2026, which producers stated was intended to ensure high production quality. The premiere is expected to feature a two-episode opening to introduce the story and characters.

Produced by Felix Film and directed by Tomoe Makino, the series features a creative team including Deko Akao for series composition, Satomi Kurita for character design, and Kenichiro Suehiro for music. The voice cast includes Kikunosuke Toya, known for his role in ‘Chainsaw Man’, who will voice Curtis Bannister, the captain of the Thirteenth Knight Brigade.

The story follows Fia Ruud, a young woman from a family of knights who struggles with limited talent. After a life-threatening encounter with a dragon, she regains memories of a past life as a powerful saint who defeated a demon king. The anime is based on the light novel series by Touya, illustrated by chibi, with a manga adaptation by Mahito Aobe.
